A line from SalsSky: The Chosen One
The mountain path ran like a broken spine beneath him, narrow and unforgiving, carved into rock that offered no mercy to a wrong step.
On moving forward when you cannot see
He is on a narrow mountain path, blindfolded. He cannot see the drop below him or the sky above. He has only a thin stick and the sound it makes against stone. Each step comes after a single tap. That is all. The path gives him nothing extra. No reassurance. No wider view. Just the next small signal, and then the choice to move.
There is something honest about that. Most of us want more information before we step. We want to see the whole path, know the distance, feel certain the ground will hold. But sometimes the path does not offer that. Sometimes all you have is one small piece of feedback and a decision.
You have probably been in a version of this. Not on a mountain, but in a moment where the way forward was narrow and the drop felt real. You moved anyway, or you stood still. Both are worth looking at.
What is the one small signal you have been given that you have not yet trusted enough to step toward?
Pass it on
