A line from SalsSky: The Chosen One
Wind moved through the heights in long, hollow currents, carrying no scent of life.
On finding ground when you cannot see it
He is on a narrow mountain path, blindfolded, alone. The ground offers no mercy. The wind brings nothing familiar. There is no horizon to orient him, no scent to confirm that life is near. Only distance. In this moment, the line notices how absence itself becomes a kind of presence. The wind does not comfort him. It simply moves. And yet he keeps going. One tap. One step. That is all the world asks of him right now.
There are times in your own life when the air around you carries nothing you recognize. When the usual markers are gone and you cannot see how far you have left to fall. It is disorienting. It is honest. And it asks something quiet of you: not to see everything, but to listen for what is directly ahead. Just the next step. Not the summit. Not the ground far below.
What is the one small thing you can still sense clearly, even now, when so much feels hollow around you?
Pass it on
