A line from SalsSky: The Chosen One

Sals swung his legs over the side of the bed and sat there, watching morning gather across the floor in slow grey light.

Chapter One · The Echo of the Abyss

On sitting with what has not settled yet

Sals has just woken from something that shook him. The terror is fading. His pulse is slower now. But something underneath remains — not the fear itself, only the feeling left behind when certainty disappeared and nothing came to fill the gap. So he does the small, human thing. He swings his legs over the side of the bed and sits. He watches the light move across the floor. He does not rush toward the day. The morning has arrived. He has not caught up to it yet, and for now, that is where he stays.

There is something honest about that pause. The body settles before the mind does. Some mornings carry a weight you cannot name yet — a residue from a dream, a decision still unresolved, a question that refuses to leave the room. You do not always need to answer it immediately. Sometimes you are allowed to just sit. To let the light come to you slowly. To let the day wait a moment while you find your way back to yourself.

What are you carrying this morning that you have not yet had the space to look at?
